Two hostesses, Laura and Meryl, work in the cloakroom at a prestigious event. As she leaves, a guest gives Meryl a tip, but Meryl explains that the rules forbid her from accepting it. The tip becomes a burden that the two hostesses don't know how to get rid of: each is afraid of being reported by the other, and both would like to keep the money.
